Lego Robotics Club Open for Spring Registration

Spring in action this quarter for more build-learn-play
routine with all new builds! Join Bricks4Kidz LEGO junior robotics building for a quarter of 8 classes of machine making fun.
Spring quarter brings some seasonally fresh builds and adventures in energy/motion! These classes deliver play that's fun, educational and enriching for each child. We follow a seasonal or machine theme with guided instructions for kids to build a project with technic tools (gears, axles+), connect it to a motor and battery and watch their vision come to life in robot form. New builds for returners! Each child is checked out for each class the same kit to care for and only used by them for the duration of class while they learn, build and play! Kids take home an action figure. What better way to give kids hands-on fun while they learn practical ways to apply STEAM concepts?!

🌍 Multicultural Night
A big thank you to everyone who helped make Multicultural Night a success - whether you attended, brought food for the potluck, performed, or hosted a booth. Special thanks to the PTSA Multicultural Committee members and to the Multicultural Committee co-chairs, Anna Nakano and Kaori Leong, who worked to plan the evening since October!

2025-2026 Bennett Yearbooks are on sale now! To order, visit Buytheyearbook.com and enter School ID #730639 to find Bennett. Orders must be placed by May 7th. Yearbooks are $28.00.

Ready, Tech, Go! Workshop 4/22
Kids are spending more and more time in front of screens, and many want devices of their own. Come learn tips for building healthy digital habits in your home and talk with other parents about how to know when your child is ready for mobile life at Bennett Elementary School’s PTA Connected: Ready, Tech, Go! workshop supported by National PTA and AT&T.
Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:30pm, Bennett Elementary School Gym.
This is a parent-focused seminar. Quiet activity tables will be available for children who accompany their parents.
Recess Running Club
Recess Running Club is back, but needs volunteers! Bennett Running Club welcomes all interested students to run laps during afternoon recess (from 1:30 pm and 2:40 pm) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday beginning April 2nd. Student are given QR codes on lanyards to scan to track their laps, and parent volunteers are needed to scan barcodes on ipads. Volunteer signups are here.
Shop to Give to PTSA - now with more retailers!
There is an easy way to give back to Bennett PTSA to support our programming without any extra spending, and many more retailers and brands are now included and with higher rewards! Through Givebacks, PTSA's online membership platform, you can "Shop to Give" both at many stores online and at local restaurants, and participating merchants will automatically donate a percentage of your purchase to Bennett PTSA.
To make sure you’re all set up to give, register for an account (if you're a PTSA member, you already have one!) and securely link your credit card. Then, select "RE Bennett PTA 2.3.22 (Bennett PTSA)" as your favorite cause. Follow the directions below and then shop and dine like your normally do and you'll start powering donations!

● Add the Givebacks Chrome extension from the Givebacks website
● Activate offers when they pop up
● Shop and pay with your linked credit card
On your phone: 📱
● Download the Givebacks app and follow the instructions to enable the extension on your mobile browser (Safari for iPhone and Chrome for Android)
● Note: You will not earn cash back through a store’s app, so make sure you’re using your mobile browser

● Choose ‘Claim Offer’ on the Givebacks website or in the app before shopping● Make sure to run your card as credit, not debit 💳

Congratulations Reflections Art Contest Participants!
Bennett was proud to have four entries in the Visual Arts category for the 2025 Reflections contest, an art contest through the national PTA where students in pre-K through grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. The theme this year was "I Belong!". Bennett's entries were from:

Chloe Campbell (Grade 2)
Emily Hu (Grade 4)
A special congratulations to Bennett Kindergartener Dhriti Vishwakarma, whose entry in the Reflections Theme Search, "Colors of Kindness", was chosen as a winner by Washington State PTA and advanced to the National PTA for consideration as a potential theme for Reflections 2027-2028.

We are seeking PTSA board member nominations (especially secretary) as well as committee chairs and other leaders for next year (including Advocacy Chair, Membership Chair, Reflections art contest chair, Directory Chair, and Communications Co-chair.). Serving on the PTSA is a meaningful way to support your school community, strengthen programs, and make a direct impact on our students’ experience. Your involvement truly makes a difference.
