Volunteer with PTSA!
PTSA is seeking volunteers to assist with various important committees and events! Please see the link below for role descriptions and signup. We can’t do it without our volunteers!

Walkathon 2026
Date: Friday, October 2nd, 2026
Time: During recess + after school from 3:30–5:30pm
Place: Bennett Elementary Playground
What is the Walkathon?
The Walkathon is one of our biggest and most fun school traditions, and 2026 is its 40th Anniversary! Students raise money for Bennett PTSA by collecting donations from family, friends, and neighbors—all while getting active by walking, jogging, or running laps around the playground. Classes and students compete to see who can raise the most money and walk the most laps. It’s fitness, fun, and fundraising all in one! Funds raised support field trips, classroom resources, family events, additional staffing, and more!

General Meeting 9/15
Bennett PTSA’s first general membership meeting of the year is Tuesday, September 15th at 6:30 pm in the Bennett library.
Please join us to learn more about what PTSA is doing this year and how to be involved, as well as to vote on our budget and standing rules for the year (as a WA state nonprofit organization, we are required to hold these votes each year). Anyone in the Bennett community (parents/family members, teachers/staff, etc.) are welcome to attend, but you must join as a member (click “Join PTSA” above) in order to vote. Please RSVP at the link if you plan to attend so that we can ensure we have quorum. We hope to see you there!

Please consider volunteering, donating, and helping lead activities you would like to see offered at school
In class support
PTSA members volunteer as parent room coordinators and curriculum enhancement leads (field trips!) We also provide funding for instructional assistants and general school assistants dedicated to each grade level.
School wide events
The PTSA organizes school wide events including the Walkathon, STEM Night, Field Day, Egg Drop Challenge, movie nights and more. We count on the generosity of parents to lead the planning and organizing of these events!
Before/After school clubs
Chess Club, 3D Printing, LEGO Robotics, and Indian Dance are some of the clubs offered before and after school. Sign up your child, and volunteer to help us offer more programs if you have suggestions!
