What is the Walkathon?
The Walkathon is one of our biggest and most fun school traditions, and 2026 is its 40th Anniversary! Students raise money for Bennett PTSA by collecting donations from family, friends, and neighbors—all while getting active by walking, jogging, or running laps around the playground. Classes and students compete to see who can raise the most money and walk the most laps. It’s fitness, fun, and fundraising all in one!
Funds support:
• Exciting field trips and hands-on learning — We explore beyond the classroom with unforgettable experiences that spark curiosity.
• Top-notch classroom tools and resources — From books to tech, we supplement classroom needs to help our kids learn, grow, and thrive.
• Fun events that unite us — Multicultural celebrations, math & science challenges, family engagement nights, field day.
• Powerful Support, Right When It’s Needed — Each year, Bennett receives a major grant from PTSA tailored to meet the school’s most pressing needs. Decided each spring, these funds often boost staffing by offsetting the cost of essential school aids—making a real impact where it counts.
