Art Reflections Program

Reflections is a National PTA arts program where students create original works inspired by an annual, student-selected theme. It’s a chance for students to express their creativity, gain recognition, and even compete for state and national awards.

The 2025–2026 Reflections theme is “I Belong!”

This year, Bennett students are invited to submit entries in the Visual Arts category, which includes drawing; painting in tempera, oil, acrylic, watercolor, and T-shirt paints; computer-generated art; two-dimensional collage; printmaking; needlework; and leather tooling.

Participation is organized by age and grade level. Student work is evaluated within grade divisions. Bennett students may submit in:

  • Primary (K–2)

  • Intermediate (3–5)

There is also an Accessible Arts division for students with a disability as defined under the ADA. Bennett students in this division would submit under Elementary (K–5) Accessible Arts.

Deadlines

  • Submit entries to the Bennett PTSA Reflections team by Friday, November 14, 2025.

  • Council deadline: Monday, December 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM (Bellevue PTSA Council).

Students are also invited to submit theme ideas for 2027–2028 by November 3. The winning entry will receive $100 and be presented at the 2026 National PTA Convention.

Bennett PTSA Reflections team is seeking volunteers for:

  • Publicist: Promote Reflections; share invites and announcements.

  • Judging Coordinator: Recruit judges; organize artwork; support judges.

  • Computer Whiz: Organize entry info; prepare awards; list advancing students.

  • Celebration Coordinator: Exhibit artwork; prepare awards; lead event activities.
